Upon recieving this book and opening the first few pages I realized that I had made a mistake. I didn't find the book well structured or well written, but I was taken back in time to when a friend of mine had ordered X-ray glasses in the mail, which I thought well at least he wasted his money and not mine. At the time I recieved the book I got the feeling that my friend had in those younger years. The book is one to buy if you really don't care what you spend your money on.

SEO History

According to Danny Sullivan, the term "search engine optimization" was first used on 26 July 1997 by a spam message posted on Usenet. In the period of the search engine algorithms is not too complex so easily manipulated.

Early versions of search algorithms based solely on information provided by the webmaster through the meta tags in html code their web sites. In a short period of time Google's reputation and gain trust from the public Internet because the user presents the successful results, which are relatively clean (not manipulated), fast, and relevant.
